I.R.I.S.

IRIS is an alternative provision for children aged between 7 and 11 years old, who may need an educational placement for a short term break, or to support them whilst they are in transition between schools.

INCLUSION – Every child deserves a chance to improve their life chances through educational opportunities.

RELATIONSHIPS – We take a relational approach to working with all young people and their families. Humans have a need for meaningful connection and we know that people work best when they feel safe and valued.

INDEPENDENCE – We want our young people to be able to self-manage and work independently to cope with different situations.

SUPPORT – Our Quality of Life Approach (QoL) means that we work with students, families, resources and partners to provide holistic support for everyone around the child.

We offer full day or half day placements, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Referrals can be made via the link below or you can email us at iris@demeterhouse.com for further information.
